I'll be like 'I don't know how much of my source I should post about. People in the fandom can be weird and my sexuality doesn't line up 1:1 with my source character.' And then I realize I've been posting about wanting to fuck Torbek LoA and Caputo OITNB for the past few months and I get over it.

Last summer I started HOTD, which was my introduction to the GOT franchise. Eventually I caught up and then I started GOT at the same time HOTD season 2 came out. And BOY. Like binging this show felt like a rollercoaster in the 2 months. I also was trying to avoid HOTD spoilers in GOT and was avoiding GOT spoilers in general on the web, plus everytime I’d bring up the shows people would go into rabbit wholes, but now I get it. There was so much to unpack with both shows but with GOT I was just like:

Like how do you process all of this chaos going on 😭 and it’s not like I had a week to process, I’m like next episode 😭 like by the time I got to the red wedding I was so numb but so shocked at the same time in my bed like 🧍🏽

But a lot of people around me who are GOT fans gave me a rundown of how things were in the fandom. For instance when the source ended so the writers started making stuff up basically, times where the fandom fought back, the discourse and anger for certain characters being wiped out, like there’s so much to unpack from a show that lasted as long as it did, but I appreciate everyone for catching me up as I went through each GOT and HOTD canon event 😭😭

But when I was on here in my prime, the shows I followed were OUAT, Scandal, Teen wolf, OITNB, like the 2010s probably will be peak television for us.

But I really enjoyed GOT, the ending I wasn’t fond of but thankfully I binged the show in like 1-2 months instead of following it from day one because I would have been PISSED.

HOTD pissed me off but I like it, I like the character development. Hopefully the people behind the show will take the audience feedback seriously but not to the point where they keep trying to please us only to piss us off. Like the second half of HOTD was so slow, some scenes could’ve been sent in an email.

Anywho, cheers to my first GOT and HOTD post, I’m looking forward to catching up with the fandom here, and now I can really enjoy the jokes, history, memes, I can even enjoy the frustration and yell at the writers and producers like everyone else sksksksk.

I’d love to rewatch the show and live blog it. Until then, let me go and get some GOT content on my feed!

This was the scene that got me hooked, I am kind of glad I started with GOT first because of the chronological order, but I think I’m gonna start my rewatch soon, there’s so much to unpack and I want to dive deeper into the historic events the shows and books are based on.

I am crypto but i love female centric media (my definition: more female characters than men, more important women then men, female characters always drive the narrative, bonus points if the only or main romances are lesbian) so I'd like to recommend some shows that are women centric: -Deadloch (crime, lesbians, women centric, indigenous women). -Fort Salem (alternate reality with modern day military witches, women centric, one main character is a lesbian). -Wentworth (australian womens prison show, much darker than oitnb, lesbians, mostly women centric even though too many men for my taste). -Harlots (hear me out! It's about prostitution in the 18th century so understandable if you hate that but it has amazing actresses, the first two seasons are women centric and its just very well made. Doesnt shy away from naming the horrific sides of prostitution as well) -Lipservice (the l word but in scotland basically. i like it more than the l word) -Yellowjackets (horror show you have probably heard about. Women centric, lesbians, ongoing and not cancelled yet) -She-Ra Reboot (if you are into animated shows. Really entertaining, lots of cool women, lesbianism as well. Not really women centric entirely but still scratches that itch in some aspects) -The Worst Witch (childrens show, so very lighthearted entertainment. Witches school for girls, so naturally women centric) -The Wheel of Time (not entirely my cup of tea, i hate the source material but even though the show is made by a man as well, it tries to be much better than the books and is women centric in some aspects) -Killing Eve (I think almost everyone who is into this knows it. Serial killer and investigator are obsessed with each other) -Glow (womens wrestling show. Too much het romance for my taste but its a cool show with cool women) -A League of their own (a SHAME that it got cancelled, absolutely women centric baseball show)
